Tibacuy, characterized for being a territory inhabited by struggling peasants, workers of great virtues and fortunate for the goodness and abundance of the nature that surrounds them, framed in the historic of the majestic Sacred Mountain of the Moon "Quininí" In the year 2012, 10 leaders of the Municipality, inhabitants of the villages La Vuelta, La Cajita, Albania y Cumaca, after analyzing the threats and vulnerabilities of the inhabitants, identified the following as priority signs:

🏞 Affectation of the hydric reserves, since in the zone the water that nourishes micro basins and basins of the Sumapaz is produced
🌳 Indiscriminate logging, fortuitous hunting, poor management of solid waste and pesticides, and the "Panaqui" megaproject, which has never been socialized with the community.
With the vision of organizing the community, managing and carrying out all actions to mitigate the negative impacts and seek development alternatives, on August 22, the ASOCIACIÓN DE PROTECTORES DE LOS RECURSOS NATURALES Y DEL AMBIENTE DE TIBACUY (APRENAT) with the following founding partners: José Eisenhower Castillo, Sandra Milena Moreno, Cesar Cortes, Miguel Ubaque, Marina García, Humberto Pinzón, Nancy Méndez, Flor Marínela Rico Sosa, Mayerli Liévano and Orlando Sabogal.
